Death of Dr Nave Dr Knave in San Antonio and Kenedy

Dr Nave Dr Knave, among the first physicians in Shiner, died last Friday in San Antonio after a period of illness. He had left Shiner years ago for Kenedy, later seeking treatment in San Antonio. The interment occurred in Kenedy last Sunday.

Civic Club Meeting in Shiner Reelects Officers

The Shiner Civic Club met at Mrs. C. B. Welhaus home on February 23 with nine members present. Officers were reelected: President Mrs. S. A. Thulemeyer, Vice President Mrs. O. H. Deutsch, Treasurer Mrs. C. B. Welfixisen, Secretary Mrs. Alf. Schram. Plans for a children's Costume ball set for April 21 were discussed. next meeting is March 23.

Burglars Raid Stores in Sweet Home Yoakum

In Sweet Home near Yoakum Texas robbers struck last night for the third time in months. They entered Ebner cash store taking about five dollars left in the register but could not open the safe. Other breaks hit Steffick Grocery Donnelly Meat Market Sweet Home Lumber Co Morris blacksmith shop, with the Morris safe door pried and about thirteen dollars missing. other stores reported no losses.

Monday morning at 8 o'clock at the Catholic Church Rev Father Wolf officiated the marriage of W. B. Turek and Miss Matylda Psencik both of Shiner. After the ceremony they went to the groom's parents' home for dinner and plan to reside in Yoakum where the groom works for Sap Ry Co. The bride formerly assisted at Corner Drug Store.
