Fritz G F Agricola died September 16 at his brother Ernst Agricola s home in Olney Texas after a long illness He was 83 and had lived in Olney ten years born June 13 1872 in Fayette County He came to Shiner in 1911 Survivors include brother Ernst Agricola of Olney sister Mrs Anna Cartes of Houston and several nieces and nephews Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p m in the American Lutheran Church Burial was in Olney Cemetery He had once run a popular Shiner restaurant and kept in touch with the Gazette yearly through readers notes

Lavaca County Highway Bridges to Be Widened
The State Highway Commission awarded a contract to an Austin firm for widening bridges on U S 77 and 77 A in Lavaca County. The low bid of 285 782 53 was submitted by Norman L Larson and Dean Skinner. Construction between Hallettsville Schulenburg and Hallettsville Yoakum is expected to take 160 working days subject to Bureau of Public Roads concurrence.

Relatives here learned of the death of Frank Raindl Sr. aged 65 years and 14 days in Lubbock on Monday September 26 at 7 00 p m. Funeral services were held Thursday September 29 at 9 am at St Elizabeth's Catholic Church Lubbock with a Requiem High Mass. Burial followed at Tech Memorial Cemetery Lubbock with Stanley Funeral Home of Tohoa in charge. More particulars will appear in the next issue.
