Local Farmer Injured In Tractor Accident Near Shiner

August Kubecka Sr. was discharged from a local hospital after a tractor overturn left him with broken ribs and minor injuries. He was rescued with help from his wife, neighbors, and relatives after being knocked unconscious on June 20 while working on his farm near Shiner.

Rites Held for H. C. Leach Sr. in Greenville Texas

H. C. Leach Sr. 67 died June 19 and was laid to rest June 20 in Greenville Texas. Survivors include wife Emma Sue Alford four children two sisters and four grandchildren. Funeral services were at Greenville Funeral Home with two former Methodist pastors delivering tributes.
