Shiner Boosters Promote Fair With Town Tour
Twenty cars of Shiner boosters led by an 18 piece brass band visited on Tuesday afternoon at 2 30 advertising the Shiner Fair to be held June 27 to 30. Leslie Merrem spoke urging attendance. Over a hundred people, many farmers and business men, wore white hats with Shiner in red. Nordheim was the final stop. next day they planned Gonzales Moulton Flatonia LaGrange Schulenburg and Weimar. The four days around year end offer broader attendance than a late fall fair.

A Shiner delegation walked to Yoakum on Tuesday to promote the upcoming Fair in their sister city. Bankers merchants clerks and other locals wore white caps and showed civic pride and public spirit in encouraging Yoakum to attend and support the event.

Shiner Fair Boosters Visit Yorktown on Tuesday
Shiner boosters, seventy strong in eighteen cars with a brass band, arrived in Yorktown on Tuesday to promote the Shiner Fair set for June 27 to 30. The delegation, touring through several towns, was met by Yorktown leaders led by Otto Kraege and A A Ladner, who welcomed them and invited locals to attend the fair.

He praised local prosperity and highlighted Yorktown’s Diamond Jubilee and the fourth annual Fall Fair planned for the fourth week of October. The remarks drew applause as the party traveled to Nordheim and returned via Yorktown and Westhoff.
