Children Beaten by Religious Sect Camp Near Eagle Lake
In Eagle Lake Texas on Friday a colony camped near Alleyton assaulted twelve children. Officials led by E P Zerneman and Sheriff Harvey Lee investigated and detained Louis Walker Pearl Walker Annie Carter and Maysel Lucas on aggravated assault charges. The victims Dora Brown Maybelle Carter Harry Rooks Henry Crawford Jessie Lucas and others suffer bruises and one boy required tetanus treatment. The group claimed religious duty and saluted the flag amid conflicting testimonies. The case remains pending as authorities hold adults and relocate children to jail and hospital as the investigation continues.
