Bohumil O Barta 62 died at his home in Moulton on June 3 1965 of a heart attack. He was born October 16 1902 in Komensky and married Annie Steinacher in 1927. Funeral services were held June 5 at St Josephs Church with burial in Moulton Catholic Cemetery. Surviving are his wife two sons five grandchildren and several siblings.

Mrs. Elizabeth McMurrey Campbell wife of Atascosa county rancher Tom Campbell died May 31 1965 in a San Antonio hospital at age 81 She had been hospitalized since May and was in critical condition since May 11 following surgery The couple observed their 57th wedding anniversary May 10 Funeral services were held June 2 at St Henrys Catholic Church in San Antonio with interment at Rose Lawn Cemetery Survivors include her husband a son Pat Campbell of San Antonio and a daughter Marguerite Campbell Martin of Nacogdoches plus a brother four sisters and extended relatives.

Sam Cunningham Funeral Services Held June 14
Funeral services for Sam Cunningham of Shiner were held Monday June 14 1965 at 2:00 p.m. at Johnson Chapel Methodist Church with Rev Bruster officiating. Interment was in Blue Bonnet Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Willie Kuykendall Collins Kuykendall Earl Cunningham Leroy Cunningham Jackie Cunningham and Joe M Jarmon. The Knights of Pythias helped with the service. Mr Cunningham born 1888 in Brown Chapel Lavaca County spent his life in Shiner and served in World War One. He was survived by Lena Cunningham his wife two step sons Joe Mac Jarmon and Raymond Jarmon, one brother Earl Cunningham Sr., two nieces and seven nephews. He died June 10 1965 at Frank Wagner Memorial Hospital.

Heart Attack Fatal To Emmett Busch Rites Held Tuesday
Emmett A. Busch 60 died of a heart attack at 4 20 am Monday June 14 1965 at his home on South Main Hallettsville. He was born January 10 1905 in Shiner son of Ed F and Adeline Busch and served in World War II. He retired from Otto Goedecke Inc in 1957 and was active in Lions Club and Little Theatre in Shiner. Rites were at 4 00 pm Tuesday June 15 at Buffington Funeral Home with interment in Shiner City Cemetery.

The Texas Highway Commission approved 137 600 dollars for 3.0 miles of new Farm to Market Road in Lavaca County as part of the 1965 FM Road Program. The total statewide plan covers 911.2 miles in 153 counties with 207 projects, totaling about 23.5 million dollars.

Henry G Klesel of Giddings died June 11 in the Southern Pacific Railroad Hospital Houston at 58. Funeral services were held June 12 at Buffington Funeral Home Shiner and Saint Cyril and Methodius Church. Interment was in Shiner Catholic Cemetery. Survivors include wife Martha of Giddings two sons William and Henry one daughter Evelyn Werner four brothers and one sister. Rosary was recited June 11 and 7:30 p.m. services followed at Buffington Chapel. He was born August 14 1906 in Moulton and worked 37 years in area jobs across Shiner Moulton and Giddings.
