Wolters and Herders Honor Memory at Texas Reunion

Hundreds of Wolters and Herder descendants gathered in Shiner for the second Wolters Herder association reunion. They honored the memory of General Jacob Wolters of Houston, elected new officers, and planned future events while preserving the Industry home and log cabin. The gathering featured a memorial service, remarks by C. C. McDonald, and a basket dinner, with military representation from the 66th Cavalry Brigade and the 36th Division.

Walters Herder reunion draws Texas journalists and officials

Among prominent members and officials of the State Press and South Texas Press Association at the Walters Herder reunion Sunday were Arthur Lefevre Jr. of Texa co Star Houston and B. F. Harigel of La Grange Journal. Mrs Harigel was also present. All were lifelong friends and business associates of the late General Wolters.
