After a lingering illness Christian Wagener died at 11 am Saturday June 26 1920 aged 62 years 8 months Born October 9 1858 in Shelby Austin County Texas He married Anna Stahlbaum February 14 1883 and later Mrs Antonio Voelkel He is survived by children Anna Erwin Kenny and a daughter Mrs Chas Elder plus a stepdaughter and siblings Several nephews and nieces reside In Shiner for 28 years He was quiet and kind with devoted family care The funeral was Monday at four conducted by Rev Wolfsdorf Flowers marked the grave and the Gazette extends sympathy
