Obituary of Victor Wolters and Local Losses in Shiner
Victor Wolters died after bronchial pneumonia following influenza. Born June 3, 1888, in Schulenburg, he moved with his parents to Shiner and held many community roles. He married Alvina Eblers on June 25, 1912 and left a son, with brother Guy Wolters surviving. Funeral services were held with large attendance and floral tributes. Also noted are the deaths of Mrs. Otto Jaroszewski and services for their family in Yoakum and Shiner communities.

Miss Marcela Lopez daughter of Mr and Mrs G Lopez died last Friday January 24 at her home near Shiner on Route 2 from heart failure. She was 15. The funeral was held January 25 in the Mexican cemetery. Her parents thank neighbors friends and Mr Joe Elsik for aid at the funeral. May she rest in peace.

At a Saturday meeting the Chapter School Committee decided to study first aid with Junior Red Cross activities this year.
