Henry Rogge Returns Home From War Service Front
Henry Rogge, Corporal in the 860th Infantry, arrived home from France after serving through Toul and the St Mihiel operations. He was wounded in the left knee on September 20 and treated in a hospital until the Armistice on November 11. He and his unit reported capturing ground amid heavy shellfire and described German trenches filled with electric lights and pianos.

Death of Mrs Olga Drawe
The city learned last Monday morning that Mrs Olga Drawe daughter of Mr and Mrs E Runk died at her home in Wharton from influenza. The body was brought to Shiner Monday night and the funeral was held Wednesday evening. An obituary will appear in the next issue.
