Death of Louis J. Drabek a respected community member

Louis J. Drabek, aged 54, died after a period of ill health. Funeral services were held from the family home with a Requiem Mass at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church and burial in the local Catholic Cemetery. Survived by wife Frances Mikesh, four sons Laddie Refugio Louis Jr Felix and Eddie, daughter Emily Hirsch, one granddaughter Lottie Dell Drabek, three sisters and five brothers. One son Emil preceded him in death. He was a devoted, hardworking man and cherished by many.

Mrs Marie Kocurek 77 Dies Near Hallettsville

Mrs Marie Kocurek aged 77 passed away near Hallettsville on Tuesday January 18 at 5 am. She was laid to rest that afternoon in St Marys Catholic Cemetery with Rev A Drozd officiating. She is survived by her son Ludwig Pokluda of Shiner and other relatives. Sympathy is extended to mourners.
