April 15 Auto Safety Sticker Deadline Urgent Warned
Col Homer Garrison, director of the Department of Public Safety, urged Texas drivers to obtain the 1965 vehicle inspection sticker to avoid violations after April 15. Half the period is gone and only a quarter of vehicles are inspected, with 5,200 stations statewide. Two stations in Shiner are listed: Shiner Motor Lafes and Stanek and Gloor Garage.

Darrell Miller age about 90 died in a Harlingen hospital at 7 p.m. Wednesday January 13 1965 after illness at his Raymondville home where he retired four years ago. Funeral held in Raymondville January 15 at 3 p.m. Miller previously practiced as an attorney in Dalhart and Yoakum where he contributed to civic life and church work.
