Funeral services were held for Richard Hartl 18 of Olivia who died Tuesday after a one car crash near Port Lavaca. He was a Calhoun High senior and worked for Ezzell Builders. Surviving family includes parents A J Fred Hartl and Agnes Marcak Hartl and multiple siblings. Burial followed in Catholic CemeteryShiner after graveside rites. Rosary was recited in Port Lavaca.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23 at the First United Methodist Church for Alvin Fred Ehrig who died in Holmes Community Hospital on Sunday, Dec. 21, 1975. Buffington Funeral Home, Gonzales, handled arrangements with burial in City Cemetery. Ehrig, a retired Purina Feeds employee, was born January 30, 1909, in Gonzales County. he was survived by his wife Alice of Gonzales, a son Al Wayne Ehrig of Belton, two grandchildren, three brothers and one sister. He was active in the church as a steward and Sunday School secretary.
