Port Lavaca Youth In Critical Condition After Crash
Ricky Hartl 18 of Port Lavaca remained in critical condition in Memorial Medical Center ICU after a late Friday crash at 10:35 p.m. His car ran off the road 0.3 miles north of Port Lavaca, struck a tree, and required about 20 minutes to free him from the wreckage. Hartl is the son of Mr and Mrs A J Hartl of Port Lavaca. Patrolman Glenn Mize assisted in the investigation.

Free Immunization Clinic Held In Hallettsville January 7
The Free Immunization Clinic sponsored by the Texas Department of Health Resources will be at the County Courthouse Hallettsville on January 7 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Immunizations for DTP polio measles and rubella will be given to infants young children and school children with tetanus and diphtheria for adults. Personal immunization record cards are issued and questions can be answered at the clinic. Mrs Pat Covington from Health Resources will administer the shots assisted by Henrietta Edwards and Rebecca Guajardo.
