Remembrance of Slavery Ties and Alick Jim
A sobering scene unfolds on a Virginia plantation as Alick and Jim, enslaved servants, navigate pride deceit and loyalty. A dreamlike May evening leads to a theft accusation and a tragic accident when a locomotive roars toward Rose. Jim shields the child and dies in the Major's bed, forgiving his cruel master before emancipation comes.
