The Shiner Volunteer Fire Department invites the public to its New Year’s Eve ball on Thursday, December 31, at Bluecher Park. A community turnout supports the fire boys as the year ends and funds are raised. Chiff prohes at wholesale cost at A. J. Bednar.
The Gazette announces the next issue will publish on December 24th and will be the last for the year. All Christmas and New Year announcements and greetings must be submitted to the office by 10 o clock Monday morning December 21st.
City Marshal Canon warns there will be no shooting of fireworks in Shiner's business district during the holidays and instructs vendors to clear the area before any fireworks are fired to protect property. Also notes sale of mules and work horses or trade for Jerseys and stock cattle by Smith Motor Company of Gonzales, Texas.
The Shiner High School Junior class will hold a rammage sale at the Blohm building on Appreciation Day, Wednesday afternoon December 23 at 2:80 o'clock. Dresses hats toys coats and other items will be offered at reasonable prices with proceeds supporting the Junior-Senior banquet fund. Proceeds will aid the fundraiser and readers are encouraged to buy gifts from the hometown paper for Xmas and New Year.
Sunset School invites the public to its Christmas program on Monday December 21 at 7 45 p m. Everyone is welcome to attend and enjoy the event.
