A week post ponement did not deter attendance with around 2000 people. Rev Burns served well for Rev Guyon as the event impressed all. Chamber of Commerce thanks the Shiner Band led by Ernest Schultz for a splendid concert and special numbers. Santa Claus delivered gifts on time but was overwhelmed by the crowd.

Cars Collide on Hill Top Near Flatonia
Four residents from Port Arthur and Houston were rushed to a local hospital after a Wednesday collision on the Waelder Flatonia highway a mile from Flatonia. Mrs Albritton driving west in a 1936 Terraplane tried to pass a west bound truck and hit J N Barnes of San Antonio in a Chrysler coming east. Mrs Angle and Mrs Williams sustained serious injuries while Mrs Ang le and the 4 year old son traveled to Houston with relatives after treatment in Flatonia.
