Santa Claus Visits Shiner Christmas Eve Parade
Santa Claus made his annual visit to Shiner last Friday at 6 o'clock p.m. amid a crowd of about 1500 children and adults. He arrived on the fire truck to the illuminated tree near the depot and handed out fruit and candy, with attention also given to colored children. The event, sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce and the Business Men's Club, showcased the blue lit tree and enhanced street lights. Residents are invited to view local merchants' Christmas displays and shop at home with low prices.
