Raid Finds Beer Bottles At Arthur Pight Home
City Marshal J M Canon and Frank Kloesel with Sheriff Houchens and Al Johnson conducted a late Sunday raid on Arthur Pight home. They found 38 bottles of beer in the ice box and a 10 gallon crock in the making, plus empty crocks and bottles. No whiskey was found. Pfuhl was taken to Hallettsville jail. A rumor spoke of an exam in town Friday, but no official notice had been received by press time.

First 1929 cotton bale sold in Moulton by Komensky farmer
The first bale of the 1929 crop was marketed in Moulton on Wednesday. Grown by Anton Kresta of Komensky and ginned by J. R. Matula, the 503 pound bale was bought by Ed Boehm's Sons for 21 cents a pound. Premiums totaling about $25 were awarded to Mr Kresta by local firms.
