Monroe Menke Upholds Bunjes Spelling Fame

Decoration Day Services Largely Attended
One of the largest crowds ever attended the annual decoration day exercises Sunday. The program by Kolar Stanek Post drew favorable comments with master of ceremonies Chas Cho vanetz. Music by Julius Schultz’s band and Mrs. L. E. Denmark’s choir were well received. Rev Wolfsdorf gave a German appeal. J C Jones, former Post Commander, spoke for Kolar Stanek Post to applause. Flowers were abundant as the Silent City appeared very beautiful.

Death of F W Maelschen in San Antonio at 71
Frederick William Maelschen died at his home in San Antonio on Wednesday morning April 10, aged 71 years and 2 days. Funeral services were held at Floresville cemetery at 4 30 p m Thursday. He will be remembered by many old friends in this section where he lived before moving to Floresville.
