The Commercial Club held its regular meeting Thursday night with a small attendance due to conflicts. President Frank Rubin was elected to lead, with C C Amler and H H Striebeck as first and second vice presidents, Frk Tassler as third vice president, and Peck Welhausen as treasurer. John H. Elsik and M E Wolters join T J Ponton as board directors, with a secretary’s annual report noting a cash balance of 2,170.60 dollars.

School Trustee Election in Shiner Returns Four Re-elected
In Shiner the School Board election produced 58 votes. Four terms expired and were re elected without opposition. Elected: Arno Wagener, J. R. Barrow, C. B. Stratman each with 56 or 57 votes. Write in votes went to C. J. Garbade J. H. Huebner A. J. Bednar and Edgar Wolters. Mergenthaler served as judge with Huebner and Weber assisting. Birth of Victor Ewald Jr at John Sealy Hospital
