Death near Boxleytown claims six o clock death
Helfer a 35 year old man died Monday morning at 6 at his father Marion Helfer's home near Boxleytown from diabetes he had suffered since March. He was married with no children. Funeral was held Wednesday afternoon with burial at Benxley cemetery.

Increase In Pensions for Civil War Veterans
Congress amended the pension law June 10 allowing Civil War sailors and soldiers with 90 days service who are aged 70 or more to draw 30 dollars monthly with higher payments for longer service and older age. Maximum 40 dollars at age 72 with 18 months service. Disability pensioners are unaffected. No application needed for those already on the 1912 rolls.

Woman Pleads Guilty To Petty Larceny Case Near Terhune
Ellen Leopard, about 55, living on a Terhune farm, was brought to Sheridan by Marshal Fisher on a petty larceny charge. At hearing before Squire Stout she pleaded guilty and was bound over to court, later jailed until sentence. Goods from the Golden Rule store found in her buggy after the theft was witnessed.
