W E Schoonover Dies After Operation At Indianapolis
W E Schoonover longtime Palmer lumber yards manager died after an appendicitis operation at Long Hospital Indianapolis. The 55 year old Brookville resident passed away Wednesday morning after a brief post surgical complication. He leaves a wife and daughter and was a member of the Knights of Pythias and Red Men lodges of Brookville to be buried Friday.

Young man fatally injured in hay fork accident
Paul Singleton twenty one of near Center is in critical condition at Witham hospital Lebanon after a hay fork fell on him while mowing on Orval Hopp’s farm Tuesday evening. The fork pierced his back above the hips and caused a lengthy operation after examination by Dr. Tucker of Elizaville. Once a Sheridan high school student, he did not graduate.
