MSU Student Killed in Campus Auto Accident
Michigan State University reported its first traffic fatality in 109 years as 21 year old William M. Wetzel of East Detroit died after being struck by a car on Wilson Road near E Wilson Hall. The incident occurred around 1 20 a m with Wetzel dying at Sparrow Hospital about 4 30 a m. The driver, 19 year old Robert D Chieger of Bloomfield Hills, was a fellow student. Wetzel, a sophomore, was crossing to join friends arriving in a car.
