Cagers Embrace New Rules As Officials Enforce Four Changes
High school basketball begins under a revised rule set with four major changes. Free throws on penalties vanish with possession awarded to the defense. Coaches may substitute any time the ball is live. A lane buffer reduces contact at free throws. Overtime becomes three minutes until a 1 point lead is achieved, and coaches may coach from the bench. Blanchard opened with a 74 53 win over Carson City St. Mary. Shepherd hosts Sacred Heart Mt. Pleasant December 1.
