Christmas Mail Lesson In War Of 1812
Janet Kay Meyer wed Daniel James Grisdale in a late October ceremony at St. Vincent de Paul in Shepherd. Family, friends, and a full church attended the nuptials, with detailed vows, attendants, and a reception at Falsetta's and CSA Hall. The story also recalls a 1815 post office tale of delayed mail during the Battle of New Orleans and offers tips to ensure Christmas packages arrive on time.
