Insurance Evidence Required For Auto Licenses Under Act
Motorists must show evidence of insurance when buying 1966 license plates or pay a 35 dollar uninsured fee to the Claims fund. The certificate of insurance is kept by the Secretary of State as proof, while motorists should carry or safely store their policy evidence. Insurers will continue to provide forms and help explain the Act, with many questions pending legal clarifications.

Christmas Service To Help Santa With 92 Families
Santa Claus will drop off toys, food and clothing at 92 needy families through Isabella County Christmas Services this year. Nearly 100 families were registered via a card filing system set up by the Zonta Club in Mt. Pleasant’s Chamber of Commerce office. Betty Elliott said 25 families had been adopted by week’s end, with groups including clubs, churches, sororities, fraternities and PTA’s taking part.
