Elder and Mrs H F Neumann visited the Willard Neumann home from Thursday to Monday. Willard’s uncle and wife returned to Los Angeles after a two month visit in Walla Walla Washington. Elder Neumann spoke at the eleven o’clock service in the Seventh day Adventist Church on September 24.

Dona Baughman Enjoys Opening College Fete
Miss Dona Baughman of College of the Holy Names Oakland participated in orientation week activities September 14 to 21. Helen Hulbert led as house president with Margaret Brainerd and senior residents hosting a welcome party September 13 and a college garden barbecue September 14. Academy P T A Holds Fall Meet at Kern Academy
The Kern Academy P T A met for its first fall session on September 22 in the academy cafeteria and assembly hall. Supper preceded a program in the assembly hall. In the absence of Mrs. Ezra Ortner, Mrs. Vic Bowlie led. Officers were elected for the year, including Clifford Gottfried as treasurer and Walter Zimmerman as membership chair. Prizes from a recent drive went to Donna Mae Wedel, Catherine Lorenz, and Nancy Isaac.
