City to settle debt with school district over police site
Shafter plans to pay off the balance owed to the Richland School District for the 150 by 300 foot police facility lot on Central Way. The city will install about 800 feet of curb and gutter on Richland Drive, transferring a 30 foot land strip from the district to the city to widen the street. the project teams with a new water line and other curb work to balance the agreed 5000 cash plus 3000 in services.
