Shafter police detained five men over the weekend. Dar Baker and Chess Parker faced intoxication charges with $25 fines and 30 day sentences suspended for two years. George Thomas Christian was arraigned on three counts and given 150 days in a road camp plus 30 days suspended for two years with probation outside the county. Lester Parks, a three time offender, received 100 dollars fine and 120 days in the road camp. additional fines and prior arrests noted.
