Kern County plans driver license program before cotton harvest

Farm Bureau Secretary-Manager Warren F. Wegis announced a driver license program for Kern County to license about 3500 drivers before cotton harvest. Applications must be returned to the DMV office by 5:00 pm in each prescribed area. Ginning companies are urged to participate to carry out the program. An annual Missouri picnic is set for September 30 at Umbrella Grove with events from 9 am to 1 pm for former Missouri residents and friends.
