Celebration Center Set for Constitution Week Events
Grady Bartlett and Al Eckmann, co chairmen, announced September 15 as the Celebration Center observance date for Constitution Week. Baehrs Celebrate 21st Anniversary With Open House
Mr and Mrs Ralph Baehr celebrated their 21st anniversary with an open house on September 4. A buffet pot luck was served on the lawn. Rodney Baehr their son helped as guests arrived and a large table decorated with napkins centered a grand seal on display.

Local Serviceman Serves Aboard Mine Sweeper USS Conflict
Billy J. Rosales seaman USN son of Mr and Mrs Tony Rosales of Shafter California served aboard the octan on minesweeper USS Conflict returning to Long Beach California August 17 after a seven month Western Pacific tour with the Seventh Fleet. The ship trained South Vietnamese Navy personnel in South Viet Nam waters and took part in SEA TO Operation Tulungan. During deployment the Conflict visited ports in the Philippines Formosa Guam Midway and Hawaii.
