Shafter Library begins weekly story time for young readers every Monday at 3 p.m. starting Sept. 21 with volunteer reader June Aguilera. Public contact Judy Knox at 746-2156 for details. Commodities will be distributed Sept. 18 from 8 to 11 a.m. at First Assembly of God Church.
