Shafter Urged to Build an Emergency Hospital
A Shafter reader urges the city to establish an emergency hospital. He cites weekly emergency trips to Bakersfield, proposes using Minter Field hospital units, local doctors, ex servicemen, and nurses to staff it, and stresses faster care and city growth. Eggs from the Faral-Jones supply chain fetches up to $1 per dozen in San Francisco.
