Kern Needy Relief Payments Drop in July
California Taxpayers Association released a study showing Kern county relief payments for July 1947 totaling 219 582 dollars, down slightly from June 1947 but up from July 1946. The June peak for 1946 47 fiscal year included 140 952 to the aged seven thousand seven hundred ninety four to the blind thirty seven thousand seven hundred forty eight to dependent children and thirty three thousand four hundred thirty five for general county relief.
