Shafter Homecoming Celebrated as Community Weekender
The Shafter Homecoming across Friday to Sunday drew many former pastors and church members back to Shafter High and local churches. Organizers Sam L. Becker and committees led hospitality, parade planning, and a three day lineup with bands and a Pioneer queen. The informal event aimed to unite the town with a simple celebration and may become an annual affair.
