Residents including Rosemary Esparza of McFarland praise the Oct 7 EPA ban on the pesticide dinoseb amid evidence it causes sterility in male farm workers and birth defects in children. California activists urge Berryhill to follow suit. advocates warn derailed protection could trigger nationwide opposition and mobilize faith groups to back the move.
