RTA Pickets RSD Over Contract Settlement
Richland teachers from the Richland School District held an educational picket on Shafter Avenue before classes to pressure administration. RTA president Janet Johnson announced they have worked without a contract since June 30 and negotiations since February remain stalled on four key issues. A meeting was planned for October 21 after school as mediation and a fact finding request were discussed with Dr. Stone urging willingness to reach an agreement.
