Shafter City Council backs school drug safety plan and approves projects
The Shafter City Council met with all members present and approved actions on school drug prevention, street closures for Band Review and Halloween parade, and a host of public works projects. They budgeted and installed digester gas system changes, electrical system renovations, and a heater repair, while signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the Police Association. The council discussed street light conversions and transportation funding, and set a future meeting for October 27 at 7 p.m.
