Youth Arrested After Robbing Seven Homes Here
A 16 year old youth known as a large figure was arrested after burglaries on Los Angeles Avenue and Shafter Avenue. The suspect admitted guilt and led police to recover jewelry totaling most of the stolen items. Three younger boys warned by judge received informal probation while the 16 year old faces Juvenile Court in Bakersfield.

Gigantic Affair Slated for Shafter Motel Thursday
A large party is planned for Thursday night October 16 at the Shafter Motel. Paul Garrett and his Orchestra will perform from 9 to 12 with music and dancing. Man Held On Wife Beating Charges After Shooting Threat
Zeb Curry 56 was arrested on charges of intoxication battery and displaying firearms after an alleged domestic assault at his Burbank Avenue home near Poplar. Neighbors subdued him, officer Blake Witcher detained him, and Curry received a 180 day county jail sentence with 90 days suspended for two years. The 32 20 revolver was confiscated.

Jack Calloway Johnson age 23 was arrested by Shafter police on a felony warrant issued in Tracy California. He was sought for writing fictitious checks under the alias Jack W Swan and was nabbed after a clever addition of 2x2 Witcher.
