Crop Duster Hurt In Airplane Crash
A crop duster pilot Louis Park Lewis, 31, of Bakersfield, was injured when he force landed the airplane on the Nelson Lewis ranch 11 miles northwest of Buttonwillow. Pigs Die in Fire Crews Save Shed
Firemen rushed to a blaze 42 miles east of Beech avenue on Burbank Monday to find a shed burning and two pigs dead. Owner Jack Beebe valued the pigs at about $100 while the building loss was $825 with $120 saved on machinery. Firefighters also saved two power poles during a grass fire on Ennos Lane near the Rio Bravo fire.
