The Shafter Intergovernmental council held an evening update with partners from youth, enterprise zone, and foreign trade zones. City Manager John Guinn led cheers for each agency as they outlined goals, sub committee plans, and community-focused efforts supporting families in Shafter.

City to celebrate Camacho homecoming at plaza

Shafter School Plans 75th Anniversary Parade and Coin Toss
Shafter celebrates its 75th anniversary with a 10 am parade of floats and a 2 pm game. Alumni band members will gather for a performance, and a gold coin featuring Shafter and Wasco will be cast at kickoff, passing to the game winner for a year.
