Car chase ends in crash as officer pursues fleeing Buick
Shafter police tracked a southbound Buick after it swerved into the northbound lane. The pursuit ended when the Buick struck a pickup and later hit a telephone pole. Francisco Uriza of McKittrick was arrested for drunk driving, unlicensed driving and evading police. He appeared in Shafter Court and was held on $1,000 bail.
