Statewide Highway Use Tax Distribution Report
State Controller Alan Cranston announced the September apportionment of 33.14 million dollars in highway use taxes among California cities and counties, up 5.3 percent from last year. Kern County received 182 thousand 168 dollars. The breakdown allocated 20.62 million to the State Highway Fund for highways, 8.00 million to counties, 3.11 million to cities, and 1.41 million to the General Fund from various tax sources.
