Junior Farmers Market Teaches Kids About Farming and Money
The Shafter Healthy Start Organization hosted a November Junior Farmers Market where Isenia Hinojosa and staff guided children to buy produce with pretend money. Parents created booths, Grimmway Farms donated produce, and students tended a rear garden growing broccoli and cauliflower.

State Meet Preview Preserves Shafter Cross Country Progress
The Shafter High School Generals, after clinching Division III valley titles on November 12 at Woodward Park, head to the CIF State Cross Country Championships in Fresno with both boys and girls teams bringing a historic season. The girls race at 11:45 a.m. and the boys at 1:25 p.m., marking the first time since 2011 that SHS finished Valley titles in both genders in the same season.
