Hazmat cleans 600-gallon Enzone spill in Shafter
Hazmat crews responded at about 6 a.m. last Thursday to a 600 gallon Enzone spill from a truck on Lerdo Highway and Beech Avenue in Shafter. Kern County Sheriff's officers aided Shafter Police with traffic control. a command post was set up and local residents were notified. Decontamination occurred with details pending, Santa Fe Railroad was notified and traffic returned to normal by 9:30 p.m. and all roadways cleared by 10:30 p.m.
