Gins in Shafter Wasco Camp West Lowe and D Moore completed 2130 bales for the week, lifting the season total to 8630. Daily outputs run 300 to 350 bales with first picking yielding one to one and three quarters bales per acre, some fields reaching two bales while others lag at three quarters. Weather damaged late plantings and rail movement mostly replaced by truck haul.
