Man Arraigned on Kidnap and Reported Incident Charges

Board Members Elected For 1964 Chamber
Bruce Crawford Irvin Fike Al Finkbeiner and Weston Futrell were elected to the Shafter Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. They will take office at the annual meeting January 7 1964. Pat Kelly announced a breakfast meeting November 19 at the Shafter Motel for the new board to elect officers. Wayne Wood said the 1964 drive is under way. Frank Wisner spoke on a Bakersfield Air Force procurement luncheon attended by seven businessmen. The luncheon signaled local firms could handle Air Force work. A 1964 select-a-man committee was named with Forrest Long Carl Moyer and Frank Wisner on the panel. Harvey Gaede will advise. Al Finkbeiner has chaired the Veterans Hall Committee for 14 years.
