Planning panel backs Hofman map and easements
The Shafter council approved Ernie Hofman’s final tract map after officials said they had little choice and accepted the planning commission’s recommendation. They consented to Hofman’s offer of street alley and utility easements, while noting the city not obligated to accept dedications. A complaints over truck parking prompted review. Council adopted a capital outlay revenue sharing resolution and proclaimed Theodore Taylor Day and Children’s Book Week. No action on gas prepayments.
