Turkey Shoot aids Shafter area children and Wasco victims

Fire captain injured as Plymouth hits fire truck in Kern County
Early Friday morning Captain Obert Terry of the Shafter fire station was seriously injured when a 1957 Plymouth driven by Enecito Ramos collided with his fire truck at the Enos and 7th Standard intersection. Witnesses rushed to aid. Ramos suffered shock and minor injuries, Terry remained in serious condition but with expected recovery.

Halloween Parade Draws Large Kiwanis Crowd
